If I had an ideal first date...I'd be suspicious. That it was a set up or that there is disaster waiting, just to keep the books balanced.
I've had great first dates. Followed, inexplicably, by no word and no second date.
I don't do first dates very well. Its a wonder there have been second dates. (They do get better I just start off pretty quiet. So quiet I might seem uninterested.)

Finding a new book by an author I really like.
Realizing I was wrong, I don't have to get up this morning.
